UPDATE: 8/3/10 – this charger will not work with the Apple bumper for the iPhone 4. The connection is too short.
I needed a dock/charger that would work with the iphone 4 in a case. I picked this one because it did not have any sides to restrict docking the iphone while the phone is in a case.
Pros:
* The clear plastic back can be flipped around. One side has a small horizontal edge (about 1mm) and the other side has slightly larger horizontal edge (about 3mm). So depending on the size of your case (or if you dont use a case) you can adjust the back support somewhat. I suppose if you had a really huge case (like an Otterbox) you could use the dock without the clear back support.
* inexpensive (under eleven bucks with shipping at the time of purchase).
Cons:
* No plug connection from the USB cable to the dock itself. It’s all one piece, not a big deal, I knew what I was getting when I ordered… just would be nice if you could disconnect the dock and the cable.
* The blue led at the base of the dock stays on 24/7. Even when the computer is shutdown and the dock is plugged into the USB, the LED is on. So, if you plan on using this next to your bed, you might want to think about using a piece of electrical tape, or maybe even painting the LED black. I use this at my desk, not in the bedroom so the light sorta acts like a night light (possible pro).

I was looking for a low cost dock for my computer at work and ended up selecting this one. For the price this is a very good deal. The dock fits my iPhone 4 with a rubber case perfectly,however, when attaching an iPad the doc is very top heavy. The unit comes in a small white box marked made in china. There are no instructions but just attach the back plate and plug it in.

The blue light on this thing is way too bright and creates a big blue disk on the ceiling…so I won’t use it in the bedroom at night. Plus an iPhone 4 with the Apple black bumper won’t seat on it far enough to make a connection. Must take the bumper off to use this cradle.

The CrazyOnDigital Dock Cradle for iPhone 4 is a well made unit. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because of the annoying bright blue light and that I have to take off the protective skin for my iPhone. It comes with a long USB cord and I encountered no device recognition or syncing issues. The positives are the nominal cost, it comes with a built in USB cord unlike the apple dock at $29, and it is not apple white.
